An interesting new tactic appears courtesy of the anti-ZIONIST! lunatic fringe here in Bristol … Witch hunting!

The idea seems to be that you photograph random people disagreeing with you in the street; post the photo on Bristol Indymedia; label them aggressive; call them a ZIONIST! and then try to get people to identify them for you.

For what purpose I’ve no idea. But it’s charming isn’t it?

I should add as a postscript that Bristol’s Palestine Solidarity Campaign were initially credited with being involved in this. However, they’ve since completely disassociated themselves from any involvement whatsoever. Well done those people! Kick the loonies out. They’ll do you no favours.

Ooops the lizards got that 😉

  4. unholy says:

nice 2c Moses the Lawgiver is on the job as well

  5. Free Gaza says:

Gosling is an anti semite fruit loop and 9/11 truther. Possibly an agent provocatuer, certainly not representative of anyone but himself.

  6. Spectator says:

    Aaaah. Tony Gosling.

BristleKRS, my thoughts are with you… you are such a lucky chap having the great Tony Gosling as your SPUNC rep… it just goes to show how beautifully democracy works, and, how the general public can be relied upon to select the best person for the job.

  7. badnewswade says:

Gosling is usually great value for money entertainment-wise, but this sort of stalkery behavior crosses a line.

  8. “Gosling is an anti semite fruit loop and 9/11 truther. Possibly an agent provocatuer, certainly not representative of anyone but himself.” says free gaza, I was under the impression that till very recently TG was a green party candidate.

  9. badnewswade says:

I don’t think so, he’s basically a frothing nutball of the first water. Quite well known both locally and on teh internets – check out this video of him in full flow:

    No it’s true.

  11. badnewswade says:

Man, I’ve had my doubts about the Green Party, but…

  12. BristleKRS says:

FWIW some prominent Greens (eg Derek Wall) have long frothed at TG (and other ‘Truther’ types) being indulged by the party.

    See: http://another-green-world.blogspot.com/2008/12/tony-gosling-suspended-from-bristol.html

  13. Mrs Trebus says:

Let’s face it, this isn’t the only time that this has happened in the Green Party, is it?

  14. Bristol Green says:

    Thanks Bristol KRS

I was at the meeting where we suspended Gosling.
It was unanimously agreed that his views were incompatible with our principles.
He also falsely decalred he was a candidate for us which he wasn’t at the time (he wasn’t asked!)

Derek Wall has always fought any “Ickery” in the party as I call it.

  15. Asswatch says:

Seems that Indymedia have now sorted the two photos they had allowed up. Maybe they didn’t like to hear home truth.

Derek Wall. Probably the man who, single handedly, does more to put people off joining the Green Party than any other person. Did he only go public about Gosling’s peculiar views after he had been chucked out?

  16. Bristol Green says:

Whatever you might think of Derek Wall’s politics he did flag up Gosling quite a while back.
What in particular do you have against Derek? I don’t agree with some of his positions but he’s one of the reason I joined the Green Party!

  17. Asswatch says:

I have nothing against Derek personally. He seems a nice enough guy to meet if you enjoy weird ‘marxist-pagan jamming sessions’ and stuff like that. What troubles me is his politics. It sometimes looks to me as though he is a manipulator who wants to remake the Green Party on his own lines, just turning it into another far-left splinter group, doomed to failure. I worry that his outlook could become quite authoritarian in suppressing other people who he doesn’t happen to agree with, if he thought he could get away with it.

  18. Bristol Green says:

The Green Party is a “broad church” and Derek is certainly on our far left. He’s one member and an ex principal speaker. Whatever you think of his ideas he has always been open about them, something that even people on the “moderate” wing of the Green Party would agree with.

  19. Jozer says:

Maybe while they’re at it they could publicise people who discredit the ant-war movement by associating it with Racist or Religious hatred?

    Won’t hold me breath, like…

  20. N says:

sorry your tactics on attacking people as anti semite does not work…they are not the true semites…
