Hardly an eyeball pleaser, the same twat’s scrawled similar crap all up North Street.
I’d rather see tagging than the shallowest of shallow politcal statements.
Me too, I hate it, and it’s a political statement I don’t particularly agree with anyway – as well as the other bits of graffiti which I think include “We are not free” or some such reactionary bollocks.
Maybe that twat would like to take a read of some Pravda back issues, or go and watch some Chinese State Television, to see what real “media lies” are all about?
And on top of all of this, they’ve highlighted the Evening Post. Hardly the best example to get their message across.
Whether or not you agree with the sentiment or the execution of it, I beg to differ that citing the Evening Post is “Hardly the best example to get their message across” – the Post regularly publishes facile, fact-unchecked filler!
Lies. Now there’s an interesting word. My old man used to say that there were two different kinds of lie. The first lie was what we all understand to be a lie in the general sense… saying that white is black.
Then there’s the second kind of lie… this is often more a matter of omission… a good example of this seems to be happening right now with the whole Squarepeg issue. We’ve got pissed off local people as well as local councillors such as Jon Rogers, Faruk Choudhry and Abdul Malik making statements in the public domain… we’ve got a website set up by locals, we’ve got… oh, loads of stuff going on, and then we’ve got the EP being completely silent on the issue… this kind of silence could be said to constitute lying… of course, we can all draw our own conclusions about this…
The Evening Post protecting the interests of the wealthy and powerful in this city? Never!
Ferguson is also, of course, one of Norton’s star columnists …
It’s just a shame that the Post no longer has the power to keep things out of the news in this city if they feel like it.
